My wife and I were purchasing property and had evaluated the buildings ourselves. We were impressed with the quality. We contracted with Roger to perform an inspection. He discovered a structural issue that we would have never noticed. It enabled us to have it repaired before closing and assured us we would not have problems after the purchase. He also found several other lesser issues that would not have been noticed until we lived in the house for a while but would have been annoying when they surfaced. I was buying an older house in Charleston from out of state and needed an Inspector who I knew would be thorough and have an objective and skilled knowledge since I could not be at the home site to see things for myself. Roger gave me a 34 page report with color photos and detailed explanations of issues that could be problematic with the house. Armed with this knowledge, I was able to negotiate repairs appropriable before my close date and have peace of mind about the biggest investment I could make. He even made two trips when it was discovered the water was off at the time of inspection, he went back to the property after the water was turned back on, at no charge to me, to make sure things worked properly.
